Off My Chest!!!

Is AI the beginning of the end of Mankind? With the invention of Artificial Intelligence, has man finally put the last nail in his own caskett?" The reason I ask this is because I think about the Terminator movies and also I Robot!   Will AI one day think of man as being a threat to its existence and destroy us all. We are creating an entity that will eventually out-think man as it continues to develop! Will AI get to the point where it thinks that it does not need man for its existence and destroy man?( Artificial Intelligence - Managing the Risks of AI) This technology is developing faster than the average man can understand and those that are behind its development are more concerned with their bank accounts more than how it will affect man's everyday needs!
